Hawaii: notoriously dreary, basically West England
Right?! Who's idea was it to put red and deep red on opposite ends of the scale?
Dreariness index not accounting for the fact that lack of potable water, temps above 110, and being on fire are all pretty dreary. But yeah inland northeast is pretty cloudy from the from the great lakes, also makes it warmer and snowier in the winter than the Midwest.
Yeah I'll take the replenishing water table if it means dreary.
Fuuuuck the NE. Went to college there, and it ruined snow for me. Even Alaska was cheerier in winter than new england
At least not as dreary as Alaska affording to the map! I love the snow, unfortunately the clouds get depressing but do also mean we don't really get that oppressive Midwest cold that often occurs in the sunniest midwinter days.
The sunny days in summer in Alaska (all 3-6 weeks of them) are beautiful. The winter is really depressing though, but at least you have mountains and some really cool wildlife (up until you have a bear come back for your trash repeatedly, through more and more elaborate containment contraptions. Fucking trash pandas)
Meanwhile, the UK this summer would be a solid dark blue.
I can attest to the fact that Rochester, NY is gloomy. Use to live there and loved it. Moved to Chicago a notoriously rainy year and wow even then...so much more sun.
During WW II lot of defense industry was placed in Ohio because of a lot of cloud cover.
Bright red gang represent 😤
Nice, now do europe
I would love to live in 30+ red zone.
It's the best.
