It's not about the bugs. I have no idea what bugs are in the game.

The game was advertised as "next gen" priced as a high quality AAA, then it's just not next gen, it's last/previous gen with s* optimisation, and bad physics on many parts. And not delivering well on the rest either.

NikTek did some videos on starfield. The channel is mostly news as meme or similar things : https://youtube.com/@NikTek?si=Ovu03z8y9UeIiiMo

It's a bit extreme, but we can see the care put into the character, weapon and static object physics and interaction is nothing. It's year 2000 type of quality, even then there was maybe better character physics.

They didn't even bother to add a brightness control in the game. No hdr (even if I can't run it, is a f 60+$ game !). And the start screen could have just been a style, to be "empty". But with all of this, it's more likely they just didn't bother.

And there is plenty more complaints on the game quality.

I don't call such a game "finished".

Being grateful to a free service is a bit hard when a lot of those services use scummy marketing tactics...

There are some interesting, others well, maybe their free services are useful, but their tactics do not align and so it's difficult to want to support them just because I could. (mostly vpns have real trash marketing). I'd rather donate more to a charity.

I don't know about dual boot. Maybe windows has to be installed first. Never tried it.

Tho I know that it is possible during the drive choice, in the windows install, to select an empty space, then clic on the create partition, and there creating a sufficiently big enough partition for windows will create 3 partitions : The boot, reserved and windows. Then just select the main windows partition, and it will auto detect the boot and reserved partition.

However that is happening on an empty drive. I do not know what can happen on a drive where there is already an OS.

Windows 11 can be used, however a oobe command needs to be input at install, without Internet, to not have to use an online account. Tho windows may ask later to connect with an online account.

For an alternative, windows may also be used in a VM. There may also be a way to pass through all the main gpu if needed, and switch between Linux / windows. But I didn't really use it. So I don't know where it is or what are the steps.

If the Linux os needs to be used, but the gpu also has to be in the vm, there is a way to split it. Tho the last time I checked (4+ months ago) the project was incompatible with amd due to some kernel/driver stuff. I sadly lost the link to it...

p7zip doesn't seem to be maintained anymore, 2016 seems to be last update (direct link to source forge from the 7zip website).

However a direct official cli port seems to have been created. Not sure if it can be installed through a repo, or if it has to be downloaded from the 7zip website.

I saw some older threads saying it wasn't maintained anymore

It works mostly for the technical side.

For the sound, preferences and personal comfort, it's a bit hard to get precise. The graphs can help a bit, but it's also hard to understand them, even more when they don't look the same between reviewers.

I've also seen meze get nice reviews, with it's new 109 pro, or more expensive ones.

The 99 seem great too from reviews, but very bassy/bass forward.

Not really hating on it. It seems to be pretty good for the quality and price.

However it is presented by reviewers as having a very tight clamp, which is a huge pain me, wearing glasses...

It's also open back wich obviously (I hope), isn't adapted to everyone.

I tried out thunder, and it looks good.

There seem to be an option in the 3 dots of a post to block a community. It seems to also be possible to manage blocked communities from the app.

However, there are 2 bigmissing features :

Real search. Right now the app can only search for communities, not posts or anything else.

And hide read posts.

These 2 features already have a github issue post.

Some enhancements would be to add the ability to add instances without connecting to them, but it's not a necessity.

I did not read the book, but I can imagine it being interesting for a bit. I don't know how would someone react to something like this however.

Maybe it can become meaningless, tho maybe if people still need to get into the real world to work, maybe it would become a way to escape the real world.

Which would make that once you get out in the real world, life may seem bad and depressing compared to that virtual world.

It would maybe generate undesirable effects and people would be in that reality for days (ex : what was imagined in Ready Player One). Create an increase in depressions and suicide rates...

Connect for Lemmy can do that

Gauss prime may be released soon during the fall of this year, tho it could also not be gauss.

However I have gauss and I don't think I have any forma on him. Only a reactor. So you may find great builds without formas.

Also even if you want to wait for the prime to get a full build, leveling up gauss will get you mastery points (6k. Then when gauss prime is released, leveling up gauss prime will be another 6k).

You don't feel a temperature. You feel an energy/heat transfer.

When you touch something cold, it's cold because when you touch it, there is a transfert of heat from your hands to the cold object.

If you touch something hot, it's hot because there is a transfer of heat from the object to your hands.

In a hot room, it's a transfer of heat from the air to you.

But there is something more too.

You generate heat. If you were in a room with exactly the temperature of your skin, it will feel hot, because the heat you generate cannot dissipate in the air.

Now let's say you touch the liquid which has no energy transfer capabilities. In such way, well, you wouldn't be able to touch it.

But say we could. Your hands won't feel immediately any heat/cold because there cannot be any energy/heat transfer. However, as you generate heat, your hands will start to get hotter and hotter has the heat cannot be dissipated around, even if your body will try to compensate though other parts of the body. It's like putting your hands in a glove.
