FUCK YEAH! CONGRATULATIONS DOCTOR!

I've only somewhat recently-ish gotten into vinyl records. My first vinyl was actually Visions of Bodies Being Burned by Clipping. But I've always eyed the Yellow Submarine vinyl for YEARS but never getting it because a) Centrelink money and b) we didn't have a record until I got mum one for Christmas two or so years ago. But I actually recently bought it and am super happy with it (Yellow Submarine was the first song my Nana introduced me to so it's pretty sentimental for my love of The Beatles but also my Nana, but funnily enough, Yellow Submarine isn't my favourite album).

That is true, good plan there. Mum and I will often belt out Beatles or Queen when we're driving together.

Understandable. I ended up buying the vinyl for it. Though had to get it through their actual website which cost me $44 inclu. shipping, as the local Australian store that they're partnered with sold out (JB Hi-Fi also doesn't have it). So more expensive, but it's the clear version and considering that that included shipping... not bad.

But yeah, mum and I love it. But I also understand why some might be apprehensive about it.

I'm happy to work from home today (boss didn't see the point in coming into work today if tomorrow will be a day off, so still working, just don't have to put on a bra which is great). But man... being distracted because I want to do other things.

I don't know how I would've gone if I did this during the lockdowns.

Yeah the pandemic really just elevated the shittyness.

Last night I made a playlist for Paul McCartney's Adelaide setlist for tomorrow night, because I know maybe the 1 or 2 Wings song and some from his Egypt Station album, but that's it. I know more Beatles songs.

I'm devo that he might not play Yellow Submarine. It's my fave Beatles song (and something I want tattooed because it's more of a tattoo for my Nana who introduced me to the Beatles through it), but he did play Let It Be which is my second favourite one so not bad.

I just wish people would fucking go home if they're sick. Did we learn nothing?

I did test yesterday and I got a negative so that's good. I don't feel sick but who knows!

Yeah it does feel really weird. Like same-sex marriage vote was a unanimous yes, and Labor's wins in both the Federal and State elections weren't landslides but they were better than majority thought. I understand that this one lost because there was so much misinformation, but it just feels so weird that it lost by a lot. So far only one state/territory has got a majority Yes. Victoria is always a pretty safe Progressive seat as of late, and while the inner electorates are mostly Yes and the regional electorates being No. It still feels weird that it's a majority No here.

I was wondering why I kept getting that on my work computer. I don't mind windows 11, I think it looks nice. But man that shit is annoying.

Thanks for the recs. I've obviously seen GN for their recent videos but yeah. I would consider myself tech savvy, but watching LTT, they never make things approachable to the average person, I've always been confused about like all the stats they say and stuff. Will look into those youtubers.

Honestly I'd recommend watching someone play it to get an idea of if you like it. Steam also has the option to let you "borrow" someone's account so I'm sure if you have friends playing this you could ask. That's what I did and enjoyed it so much I ended up buying it.

I feel this. I've rented pretty much my whole life. My parents did buy a house when we used to live in Adelaide but they ended up selling when we moved to Brisbane. But other than that, renting is all I know. Whereas my partner has lived in the house their mum bought, and only recently rented back in like 2018 but had a pretty bad experience with that. So they've wanted to buy their home ever since.

But I worry that we probably won't be able to afford our own home, even if we buy a plot of land. I'm so happy that I finally have a job so our dreams of living together are more attainable, but I don't know if we'll just have to rent to be able to live together or live with our parents for the rest of our lives...

Shit stinks!
