The KAI T-50 and the Boeing/Saab T-7 both use the same jet engine GE-404. How does the T-50 accomplish faster speed, more payload, all while being twice as heavy? (lemmy.world)

Yes I'm aware the KAI engine is a slight variation, but afaik it's very slight.
