Welcome to the pagan community! This is an open space for pagans of all kinds, newcomers and established practitioners. Ask questions, share your practice, connect with others, and find community here.
COMMUNITY RULES:
1). This is an open space. All people, from all walks of life and all backgrounds are welcome here. That includes people of color, queer and trans people, disabled and neurodivergent people, and indigenous people among others. Any post or comment that is based on bigotry, white supremacy, race science, sexism, or homophobia will result in a ban. No strikes. This is your warning. If you can't stand talking to people that are different from you, this is not your community.
2). All colors of paganism are welcome here: Hellenic, Kemetic, Nordic, Slavic, Arabic, African and even indigenous practices. If you are practicing or trying to construct a faith based on non-abrahamic or pre-christian religion, this is an open space for you. This is a syncretic community and you are expected to be respectful of others. Don't be close-minded or dismissive of others' practices just because they are different from yours. You don't have to follow what others are doing. We are all reconstructing faiths that are well over a thousand years old. Let's show some humility and openness to each other.
3). This community assumes that there will be teenagers and underage folks here at some point.
Teens: please read up on online safety. Don't share anything here that you wouldn't share with your parents. Don't accept private messages from adults from this community (or any online space) without consulting a trusted guardian first. Don't post anything sexual or anything that reveals your location, age, or real name. Please stay safe and think before you post. Sexual content will be taken down.
Adults: This is not a space to flirt, and you don't know who is behind the account you're talking to. Don't interact with people here in any way that you wouldn't want someone to interact with your kids. Be mindful that there will be underage pagans here, and it's our role as adults to make this space safe and constructive for them.
4). Posts that promote conspiracy theories, "New Age" woowoo, and otherwise historically inaccurate propaganda are not allowed. We can all make mistakes and post incorrect information. Verify your sources. For example, a YouTube video about Egyptian religion may have been posted by a channel promoting "ancient aliens" theory. Check before you post!
5). This community does not condone the use of psychoactive drugs. Any post or link to content that involves substance use is to be considered for educational and harm reduction purposes. Don't encourage or pressure anyone to take drugs here. Don't post recipes for making drugs of any kind.
6). Don't promote your paid courses, workshops, or books here. This community encourages the free flow of information. You may promote your blog or website as long as the content in it is not behind a pay wall.
7). This is not the space to seek help for a mental health crisis. Don't assume people here are equipped to help you effectively. Pagan spirituality and the occult come with their own risks. Practice mindfully and carefully. Take care of yourself. We are not here to trauma-dump, as this is not the space that will give you the best possible help you need for a personal crisis. Other communities are better suited for that, and it is more appropriate to seek help through other means like a hotline, trusted adults, teachers, etc. If you see content here that upsets you, please report it to the moderator and do not engage with it. Take a break from the screen and take care of yourself.
