The release of qBittorrent v4.6.0 stable comes with I2P support. While experimental, we can still get a working torrent setup using qBittorrent now. qBittorrent-nox is the Web-UI only version, and currently it does not have configuration settings in the Web-UI for I2P settings. This guide will show you how to setup qBittorrent-nox and manually change the qBittorrent.conf file to allow for I2P torrenting!

Guide can be found here: https://strict3443.codeberg.page/i2p-info/hugo/public/posts/how-to-use-i2p-on-qbittorrent-nox/

I've used these sites in the past to get around article paywalls, but for weeks now I haven't been able to get past the captcha. I fill it out correctly and it just reloads. Anyone else having this issue? Know a good alternative?

I am currently studying Mathematics and Physics and there are a lot of questions which aren't available on Chegg, so I was wondering if there was an way to get these answers without actually paying up for the subscription.

https://homeworkify.eu/ helps! but it's rather lengthy. I mean, I have to give it my email and prove that I am a human, open email and then click on the link to get a solution. Is there an easier way?

I am going sailing....

I can't believe how people can commit such heinous sin by suggesting garbage websites like [movie-web.app]. Someone did this to me this morning and I was absolutely ~~thankful~~ enraged.

I recently started looking into car software modding, and found few websites/forums/telegram groups that cater to that.

Unfortunately most of them ask for payment of some sort.

Anyone can share some good automotive non paid resources?

Thanks

I need to find humble bundle pirated resource (book, assets, software), including now and from the past. Especially books bundle. Do you know where I can find all of them in one package (one link, one torrent, ...) without having to find part by part in the bundle ?

I'm working on building a personal alternative to Spotify and YouTube Music and I've hit two roadblocks.

  1. Genre labeling in my library is inconsistent and manually updating 2500+ MP3s isn't feasible. I've tried using beets with the LastFM plugin in quiet mode but no luck. Any ideas?

  2. Where can I bulk download diverse music catalogs? I've snagged some 'top 90s/80s/hiphop/etc' collections, but 2500 songs don't go far.

What I miss about Spotify and YouTube Music is their ability to auto-play similar tunes based on my current selection. Any advice would be appreciated.

edit: Libation apps needs you to give it your amazon password and ID, it's foss and I trust it. (editing because seemed important)

Amazon allows you to download the book from Audible, but you need a code/password or something like that to read it. Libation can basically convert these encrypted files into decrypted mp3 files by getting this code from the website, I am pretty sure you can get it too. So, my question is, why aren't there more pirates pirating audiobooks? Why isn't every audiobook on audible available online for free?

I mean, many are, but why is it not more prevalent?

I want to give something back to the community and I was wondering if there was any way to share a file (to pirates) so that it won't be traced back to me? What precautions should I take? Is there metadata attached to the file? How does your computer remember a modification date and date create, is it embedded into it?

I am talking about audiobooks btw, I have downloaded a ton of audiobooks and I want to send it somewhere where others can download it for free after an internet search. So yeah, I do want to make it untraceable. But for this scenario, you are free to assume that I have the nuclear codes or a new virus genome (I wonder which one is deadlier)

I was just browsing some torrents lately and anything that isn't on a torrent is on a website like rapidgator. Rapidgator is ok if you downloading audiobooks, but why aren't more people using OnionShare to send and receive files? I haven't used it and I don't know it's limitations, but if I ever wanted a file which was shared over it, I would spring into action and install it.

So yeah, why?

Honestly, im scared to get into piracy because im afraid of getting in trouble or failing, basically im worried for no reason. I also have some random questions about piracy.

  1. should downloaded things be put on a internal or external hard drive. Because my external hard drive can be weird at times and i know some files required them to be installed internally.

  2. is there a way to help out the piracy community without breaking any rules or breaking the bank?

  3. are direct downloads safer or torrent, or something else?

that is all i have at the moment but feel free to add on to this if you wish too.

I am talking about downloading to my disk not to Spotify App. Now, is there a way to download songs you like in their highest quality? Zorify and Spot-Dl requires spotify premium and YT-music premium respectively if I am not wrong. What are my options now?

I am downloading rather long podcasts (1-2 hours) so It would be worth it if there is a website or a package which lists popular podcasts.

I realize there is our lord and savior https://sci-hub.se/ but I could not find some academic articles and books over there. I am assuming it's mostly academic papers about STEM subjects? I am looking towards pirating literature papers from academia.edu

Any clue how I can do this? I am feeling not so great about torrents anymore. I mean, I love em still, but for topics with low numbers of seeders like literature and books, it's hard to procure them through piratebay.

So yeah! I want academic articles, books, pdf everything that is published and is hidden behind a paywall, how can I get this?

Also, I am using Tor to ask these questions, how well does it hide my identity? I haven't given lemmy.ml my email either. So, my existence here is truly virtual tbh!

I realize libgen also has audiobooks, but they are not that many over there. (Trust me bro! I searched)

So I was wondering if there were websites like those to download pirated audiobooks (and perhaps request audiobooks). Do we have any such communities here? I remember audiobay community on reddit had a feature to request books.

I'm a pretty heavy torrent user, running a media server complete with sonarr/radarr for automatic downloads. I download a lot, and have multiple TBs of upload on various private trackers. I've been torrenting forever, but I've always wondered about usenet. Over and over on this, and other, forums I see people saying that usenet is way better - but why?

I understand what it is overall, but what makes it better than traditional torrenting? In my mind, it's always just seemed like a different means to the same end. I pay for a VPN and torrent for "free", or I pay for usenet access and download directly from there. As someone who's "snobby" around the quality of the stuff I torrent, does usenet provide an advantage there?

Usenet fans, I'd love to hear what makes you love it! I'm always open to trying new things, and if It really is better I'd love to know why! (Plus, maybe what providers/tools etc you recommend).

RARBG alternative (lemmy.world)
submitted 1 year ago by Superfool@lemmy.world to c/piracy@lemmy.ml

Hi folks; Looking for some guidance here.

As the title suggests, I'm a long-term user of rarbg and was wondering if anyone had an alternative to something similar since the shutdown.

By similar I mean:

  • with picture pop-ups when you hover over the link with the arrow.

  • all the crap quality screeners and cams curated.

[SOLVED] Solution: https://lemmy.ml/comment/4317564

I am doing all of this using ChatGPT, I know enough bash to understand the script partially, but not enough to write the script myself.

I recently posted bash script(click) to download songs on spotify using Spotdl Updated Post

This is all good, but I am not trying to download whole playlists and I want to make sure to

  1. Not download any songs multiple times by comparing the files you are trying to download with the songs you have downloaded already.
  2. Add the songs' URL to the Archieve_file so it doesn't download it again. i.e., compare and if present, exit loop, if not present in file, download and add link to the file.

This was easier when I was dealing with only song links and not playlist links. But now, playlists complicates the equation, but if I can achieve this, I can basically add this script to crontab and make sure I always have a local copy of the songs in my playlist and these playlists would be checked regularly for new downloads and new songs would be downloaded. This is really cool!

Now, the complications I am facing, I don't know how to get the URLs of the spotify songs out of spotify playlists using spotdl or any cli package. If I can do this then, I can make the script go through each link clean the link of unncessary attributes and then download it or if it's downloaded already, move on to the next song.

Now, I don't know how to do it. It would be very helpful if you guys could share any scripts that you have which will achieve this effect or help me get the song URL's from a playlist using a cli package.

PS: I might need some time to reply, I might sleep rn Thank you for your help!

Hi all,

I have been re-encoding using handbrake’s presets (Matroska hevc 480p/1080p) and results are good for the most part, some issues here and there. I started trying out ffmpeg with cuda and hevc_nvenc and p7 preset. Video quality looks way better but audio is very bad. I am using aac 128k and the audio is very compressed and quite frankly hurts my ears. I started looking into the handbrake options and there’s auto pass through and stereo downmixing, etc. I tried reading the ffmpeg documentation but there is a lot there and I’m not really sure what I’m doing.

tldr; Anyone have tips on getting good quality audio encoding (aac) from my bluray rips?

Anyone have experience with ripping HDDVDs? My bluray rw and dvdrw will not recognize that a disk is even in the drive. Bad disk or do I need a special disk reader?

The Pirate Bay celebrates its 20th anniversary today. Founded in 2003 by a collective of hackers and activists, the small Swedish BitTorrent tracker grew to become a global icon for online piracy. The rebellious torrent site has a turbulent history and clashed with law enforcement authorities on multiple occasions. Despite these setbacks, it remains online today.
