Just a thread for anyone else out there who prefers the layout of a 6-button controller to the more dominant ABXY layout. What I wouldn't give for a dual stick, dual trigger gamepad that also had six face buttons.

Hi!

For those who heard about or own the device, you are aware the SCART port on the RetroTINK 5x-pro is upside down. I read somewhere that you can, and i quote: "reverse the head of the cable by undoing the screw and snipping a bit of the plastic and putting it back together reversed."

I'm going to buy Insurrection scart cables, since they are very affordable in canada.

Is this procedure safe? Can you really reverse the head? Is this a smart move, or is it plain stupid?

J’ai terminé Super Mario World 😁.

Some time ago I bought a physical copy of Rat Attack for PC, because I had fond memories of playing it on a Playstation Demo Disk.

Unfortunately, while the game itself technically works, after I get past the first "chapter" ("House"), I get a message saying "You need to download the next part of this game to continue. Visit the Freeloader web site? Press OK or Cancel to exit the game".

Pressing OK does nothing, while Cancel does indeed exit the game. Looking at the game files it seems that all of the files are there (I can see the files for the other levels and they seem to have the same size as the one that loads correctly).

Freeloader no longer seems to exist and even searching sites like myabandonware turns up empty for this game. Am I screwed and this game is lost media now, or is there anything I can do to get it to run past the first couple of levels?

A large basement space in the Science Museum now echoes to the sounds of Space Invaders to Mario Kart as the whole space has been filled with arcade and computer games.

I mostly want to play consoles that I know garlic will run, minus the DS. Only DS games I want to run are Pokemon, so the lack of inputs isn't an issue.

I wanna be able to just put it to sleep mid game, put it in my pocket, then pull it out and resume. I don't want to do any extra steps outside of tapping the power button. Would like it to be quick, which I've heard batocera isn'f the best at.

I want it to be stable, with low risk of the game crashing.

Battery life is whatever as long as I can get a few hours out it.

Also, any manage to get the HDMI to output 240p on this thing for a CRT?
