Welcome to this month's speedtest megathread. Yep, you heard that right, it's time to shoff your speeds.

Format

Location (city, state), Downlink, Uplink, Device, Notes. An example would look like this: "Minneapolis, MN, 554 down, 31 up, Google Pixel 7a, taken in downtown".

Rules

  1. No screenshots. They take up valuable server space, require more bandwidth, and are not accessible to screen reader users.
  2. If you live in a small town or rural area please fudge your location a little. As an example if i lived in Olive Hill, Ky (population 1580) I might use Grayson, Ky (population 3834) instead.

T-Mobile promised users who bought certain mobile plans that it would never raise their prices for as long as they lived—but then raised their prices this year. So it's no surprise that 2,000 T-Mobile customers complained to the government about a price hike on plans that were advertised as having a lifetime price lock.

I am not in the least bit surprised. Personally, I see very little benefit to millimeter wave unless it is an extremely dense area or an extremely big venue, such as an airport or concert stadium, etc. or like the Las Vegas Strip or Times Square. In places like that, millimeter wave makes total sense. In the rest of the world, it just really does not. LOL.

I love that this article tells you that if you are connected to a Starlink satellite, your phone will show one or two bars of service. That is a detail I have not seen up until now.

Edit: According to this Tmo News article your phone will say "T-Mobile SpaceX" when you are connecting via StarLink satellites.
