My disappointment stems from the fact that this joke has become associated with Hercules when it originated with A Fish Called Wanda, a much better piece of entertainment.

its because A Fish Called Wanda is full of great bits. This guy has one and only one great moment. So its remembered as such.

Now by him? Did you not watch his God's Not Dead movie? He plays an asshole atheist professor that makes his students write papers on why God is dead. Very funny, but it tries to be serious.
