Donald Trump fired off an angry middle-of-the-night attack on “highly overrated Jewish Governor” Josh Shapiro after he spoke out against the former president at the Democratic National Convention on Wednesday night.

but even america isn't stupid enough to legitimately vote in trump anymore.

I'm afraid you're vastly underestimating the stupidity of Americans. I just hope enough people vote.

They're stupid enough when it comes to not voting at all. If everyone showed up and voted for who they prefer, no Republican would ever be president again (unless they pivot away from being the Fascist Party).

And yet, "did not vote" would have won something like 80% of the last 100 years of elections.

One thing there that shouldn't be discounted is how hard it was for folks working multiple jobs, who have to take care of their kids, etc to be able to get to a voting booth.

Long lines, inaccessible mail in voting, and so on have long been issues especially for the lower income bracket where they aren't getting the option to work from home that day, or live in an area where there are so many booths that the line takes 10 minutes to get through.

So I wouldn't say its all "stupid" people who don't vote. These were intentional decisions made by others trying to limit access to voting, and in the past, it worked. The moment mail in voting became ubiquitous, there was a massive increase in voters.

Pushing for keeping options open for everyone to vote, including making it a federal holiday, consistently available mail in voting, ensuring access to sufficient booths, etc, is of utmost importance.

It's a shame that in a supposed "free country" that all voting is not done like it's done here in Colorado.
