Had to look this up. Dr. Pepper was formulated in Waco Texas by a pharmacist named Charles Alderton, for the soda fountain in the drugstore where he worked. Some say his employer, Wade Morrison, named it after a Dr. Charles Pepper, the father of an old girlfriend. But the Dr. Pepper Museum in Waco has been unable to confirm this story.
