Something odd happened last week.
He reached out to offer some mentoring because he felt that maybe it would help, which I agreed to.
He must have known he was leaving last week already. Curious to see what this will be about.

I think you'll find you don't need mentoring. From what I heard your project management experience was second to none. all your skills in fact. Glowing report really.

Yeah I'm super curious to see what this is about. I don't think he's being asked to do it, I think he was offering because he's a good dude.

Hopefully not overeaching but he's not mentoring you to be his replacement or to take on another role?

Just going off on a tangent, how's your new car going?
So far so good! It's so nice to have it. Makes life so much easier!
