Static webpages are light to host. It could get enshittified but people could take their website and spend 5mins learning to host it on another place or their own machine.

Fuck no. That's why this will get enshittified. Anyone that tells you people will just move or host it themselves live in a fucking dreamworld. That's why geocities went away without a replacement.
