How horrible, somebody trying to do something positive.
Not denying, fighting against the reality. I dare say you haven't seen any videos of her in committees asking the pointed questions that are normally glossed over. You can certainly argue about effectiveness, but if no one tries to make a difference, it will absolutely go the direction it's going.
What do you suggest our represenatives do as an alternative? Give up? Say and do nothing for 4 years?
As painful and exasperating of a job it's going to be, we still need idealists like AOC to go and do their best, even while in the minority.

She's not a centrist, so she's not preemptively capitulating.
It does mess up their storytelling time during trumped up investigations that rely on unhinged witnesses and made up evidence. Plus it wastes more of their time so they can't do awful things quickly, always a good thing. Having to tolerate a non-submissive woman (moreso if she isn't lily white) speaking and existing in their spaces as an equal annoys misogynists too.
You need someone who will at least try to get the truth in the public record. In case there ever is a reckoning one day.
You think she hasn't thought about how this might go? She's very smart and capable, I'm pretty sure she's thought this through.
