Unironically, we are on track to collapse within the decade. That's not my estimation either, people much smarter than me made that educated guess decades ago and they've been mostly correct about everything what iirc.
I thought things were happening sooner than expected by even the most doomer of scientists?
Do you have a source for this? Not doubting, just wanted to read more and follow these folks’ work.
the limits to growth study done in 1972. the wiki has direct links to it and some updated views (which mostly seem to be "its mostly the accurate, if a little lacking in this or that specific detail").
