Maybe check out ice-cream cake suppliers I reckon. Don't know for certain but I can't think of anyone else who would use a single large block of ice. Maybe the seafood trade? Cubes appear to be the retail go to.

yeah, everyone has cubes, which is weird, because a block lasts so much longer. How is one supposed to keep a bathtub full of ice for guests' drinks over two consecutive scorchers with just cubes?

(NB: that's not really what I'm doing, but I do need something that will last longer than cubes!)
