I'm sure there are lots of things you can do with blocks of ice but what I mostly do is ice blocking.

Take your ice block to the top of a hill, pop a bit of hessian on top for grip, sit on it, and slide to the bottom of the hill.

Take some kids to make it less weird, you can even give them a go if you're feeling generous. Super fun on a warm day.

If you can find someone with a chest freezer then ice is easy peasy.
