HiAnime's massive user base indicates millions in lost revenue.

I'm sure all of these people would be willing to shell out the monthly cost to subscribe to every streaming service available since that's the only way to watch legally. Netflix + Crunchyroll + HiDive + Hulu etc... or one free site...

This 100%. I would totally pay for a convenient way to watch even a whole genre of TV. Instead you're forced to pirate, rotate services, pool logins with others (now way harder to do), or miss out on certain popular shows.
