Not just the decision of rejecting or not but eating or not?

I’ve recently thought it’s best to just take it especially if it’s not from someone close them I can regift it as I see fit. But if it’s edible and I have no one to give it to it’s much harder!

If it's something ready to eat now, I'll decline with explanation. If it's less perishable and something my wife might like, I'll say that and take it.
