Has anyone epoxied carbon fibre cloth onto something?

I have a heat shield that I failed to paint properly and now I’m thinking that I might do the above instead.

Only problem is I need such a small piece of cloth. Not worth buying a whole lot.

No, but you can be the first

yes but a very long time ago

you need to prep it very well, clean the surface then sand it, otherwise it will delaminate off, especially if there is heat involved

brush on a coat of epoxy first, let dry to tacky, sand a little, put on the cloth, paint the cloth with epoxy, let dry to tacky, put on another coat or two
