"long term gains can be protected". Since the new era of executive orders, how will this ever be the case? We'll just lurch from one side to the other after the next administration comes in and reverses everything that the previous did with new EO's.

They are banking on a full fascist takeover. Right wing media has successfully brainwashed them into thinking that white males are the most unfairly treated group in the US, and that it will be a white utopia once they take away the rights of everyone else. Those are the "long term gains" these people are talking about.
