I don't trust the Europeans with this srt of stuff.
Why not?
Lots of reasons.
Nine Eyes, Fourteen Eyes, the 876 privacy cases tracked at noyb.eu
Spotify exploits musicians and uses DRM.
Hopefully if more people switch these issues will have more visibility and potentially be addressed
Do large user-numbers correlate with more ethical practices? Facebook and Google have large userbases.
