A place for for news, discussion, memes, and links criticizing capitalism and advancing viewpoints that challenge liberal capitalist ideology. That means any support for any liberal capitalist political party (like the Democrats) is strictly prohibited.
A zero-tolerance policy for bigotry of any kind. Failure to respect this will result in a ban.

6 Be civil in comments and no accusations of being a bot, 'paid by Putin,' Tankie, etc.

he's certainly not better or even less bad. He plays his role to keep voters from voting 3rd party and invariably votes with the regime and endorses the awful dem candidate of the day.
If anything he is worse.
So a liberal, like I said. I don't like Bernie, but I like him a whole lot more than most democrats, similarly to how I don't like the democrats, but like them a lot more than all republicans. I highly disagree that he's worse, "because he keeps people from voting third party" because the current system essentially burns all ballots with third party votes on them, except maybe at a local level. There aren't enough leftists in the US yet (yet!) for a leftist third party to be viable. Thus, I will stick to my statement, which is that Bernie is above average in a really bad bunch.
I confidently claim he's worse for 2 reasons: 1 he talks the talk but doesn't walk the walk.
I have no respect for people who don't fight in an underhand manner.
2 Like I said, people like him are put there to project an image of progressiveness to hide the evil core doctrine of the corporate dem party.
Whitout those snakes at least more people would realise they are not alternative to Reps but more of the same corporate oligarchy politicians.
Which ironically leads you to your much heard defeatist claim that 3rd parties can't work.
All this is completely incomprehensible to me (and other Europeans I presume) in a healthy democracy.
I've seen plenty parties start with 2% of votes and in a few elections get 10 to 40 or more.
Why do you think it's dems that try to move heaven and earth to keep them off the ballots? They are a viable threat.
There's plenty of base to start in the US, even if it's a country with a terrible and pacified 'please vote for the esser evil' mindset.
You can lose with the 3rd party or lose anyway voting for dems.
You're a European? And you're telling me how the Dems are the same as the Republicans? I'm done with this conversation.
Besides being pacified and dumbed down and unfamiliar with resistance, americans are also not able to think outside their narrow box.
Locked in their binary thinking.
As far as the world is concerned it doesn't matter what 'side' of the same coin invades, bombs weddings, supports genocides or regime changes.
So yes, it's the same.
It only matters for people in the banana republic themselves.
But they never learn, so enjoy what you deserve.
