I mean, do you know how to tell which server in an 8' tall rack full of them is the one that isn't working? Do you know where the power button is on that server? Do you know if there are any special procedures required to cycle power on it? Sure, it's often the big obvious one, but not always, and that doesn't always help you anyway.
