i’m like why would egypt let israel control it

Egypt tightly restricts the opening of the Rafah crossing, and has kept it shut during previous Israeli bombardments of Gaza in 2021, 2014, and 2008. Since a period of heightened conflict between the Egyptian military and jihadists in the Sinai peninsula began in 2013, Egypt has vastly curtailed movement through the crossing, and banned the entry of aid organisations and journalists into northern Sinai. Palestinians accuse Egypt of bolstering Israel’s 16-year blockade by essentially closing their one exit route out of Gaza.

yep sounds about right

The Philadelphi corridor, which is the border separating Egypt and Gaza is currently controlled by and occupied by Israel, as they refused to withdraw from it as stipulated in the previous ceasefire agreement that they largely ignored.

this is why you need to search and read history to understand instead of commenting like clueless and stupid. go ask an egyption in real life, more than one just to be sure. or use google, or search up the egyption coup protest slaughteter videos, that cannot be on youtube unless very censored. also watch and read how Obama and hilary moved to replace eygpt's democratic leader with the miltarty coup leader with $100+ billions from UAE Saudi arabia and other gulf dictatorships.
