I'm glad it's not just me.

I myself am german. I'm referring to this meme from two days ago and thought it would be funny to remind americans to go to bed when I wake up for a few days.

Yeah there's a large part of social media now where I no longer have any fucking idea what's going on. This is that part.
I'm kind of enjoying it. I translate things sometimes. Most of the time, I don't. I'm just really happy to have social media that isn't an authoritarian, walled garden, filtered for engagement, and segregated by culture. Lemmy may be small, but it's diversity is really strong. It does create situations in which I can't appreciate the content sometimes, but I'm happy that it's there for its intended audience in a way that I can see. It's nice to feel included in things that aren't specifically for me.
Oh my god this is brilliant. When I got to that line, my first thought was "Which language is that?" And then I read the very next line.
