Once you drop soda from your life, you'll feel way better. Have one every week or two, just for the memories.

Switching to 80-90% water will improve all aspects of your life. Don't sleep on the OG.

Wait there are people who drink soda instead of water when thirsty?

Literally nearly the entirety of the US population age 3 and beyond.

Beyond the health reasons, that sounds expensive

Some people exclusively drink soda! Like over 40oz a day of it. It's nasty, but I've seen people carry around those cups and just soda all day.

Their excuse is usually...well soda has water it in, so I'm getting my intake. While technically correct, it's the other trash in soda! Ugh. Americans man.

One time I was in line at a convenience store. The woman in front of me was saying that she only drinks soda because she is allergic to water.

No one tell that lady that soda is only carbonated water with some flavor syrup or she’ll collapse from sudden anaphylactic shock

I considered saying just that, but it didn't seem like a winning situation. I believe I wished her luck finding something she could drink then wandered off until she was checked out.

The conversation had begun because I picked up a then-new flavor of soda and she was asking about it to replace her current soda choice or something like that. Perhaps she thought the carbonation or syrup neutralized whatever she believed she was allergic to in the water. Maybe she was confused by that movie The Others. We may never know and I'm okay with that.

I can understand a child saying that but a grown ass woman? Wow

That was my thought, as well. I made the mistake of engaging her in conversation, but did not find the results fruitful.
