Imperial forces lost a guerilla war on a planet they had no real need to be at. Yes.

The Sith however were not defeated on Endor.

The Sith are not often “defeated”, set backs and speed bumps? Yes.

But hey once they finally ditch old palps maybe they’ll have good leadership again.

Palps was the most successful Sith at gaining control over the galaxy in their history.

The Sith however were not defeated on Endor.

That's part of why I didn't carry on with Nu Star Wars after watching The Force Awakens.

  1. "Isn't this just... the same damned story as Star Wars?"
  2. "Doesn't this make everything in the original trilogy basically a waste of time?"

Although perhaps there's a lesson in that... as forces that seemed defeated in 1865 are back again... yet again.
