Then do that, don't whine that people are using technology to save time on a pointless activity that doesn't benefit them.

It could be argued that getting a job because your resume isn't terrible is a benefit?

Self evals are part of employee "evaluations" done by management. He isn't talking about a resume, he is talking about those questionnaires that employers use to weed out troublemakers and gaslight productive workers into thinking they don't deserve a raise. But yeah, fully agree that to someone that cares so much that people are using AI, it should be making their life easier. Those people using AI now weren't the hiring person's ideal employee before, they just lied to the hiring person in a different way about how important it was to them that they grow old making Corp Inc wealthier.
