Now we need a scene in SNW where Ortegas decides to play a joke on Spock by calling them marsh melons and giving everyone else (in picturing Chapel, Uhura, M'Benga, and Sam Kirk) a "shut up and make him believe it" look.
If Boimler said it, Spock would probably go and ask one of his friends to have him try one of those "marsh melons" and would probably be corrected. It just seems like a very in-character thing for Ortegas to do!
