Pharmaceutical companies are actually legally required to find out if you’re misusing their product or taking it in an undirected way, and report that to the FDA. Well, has been that way historically, anyhow. If you even work for a pharmaceutical company and you overhear at a weekend barbecue that someone has not taken a dose or doubled a dose etc, you’re obligated to report it within 24 hours.

Yep, I used to have a special card I had to keep in my wallet. It had a special number for them to call, and half of it had space for me to write down details (who/what/where) in the event I couldn’t get them to call

We were never allowed to have fun; it's always been a guilty pleasure at others' expense.

We're just so interconnected now that we often hear whose expense it is, which may or may not offset your fun.
