As if the flimsy curtain is going to do anything, haha. You could technically have a baby as close as the row behind that. And you can already hear babies crying from across the plane anyways, especially as we trend towards smaller, more efficient planes like the 737 max and extended range 320s.
This isn't on smaller single aisle planes though, they're doing this on an Airbus A350. On these planes there's a galley between the front seated section and the rest of the plane, with another section before coach. So there's a bit more than just a curtain.
