I have this spicy savoury mix thing people at home picked up. I can only describe it as highly unpleasant.

It is too spicy to just graze on, and it doesn't have a satisfying crunch. That could be because we've had it for a while, but I never remember it having a crunch.

I'll take it to work and if I can't enjoy it then I'll pour it into the organics bin

Check useby date. If the mix was fried, then the oil may have gone rancid and nothing will fix it.

It's long since been out of the packet. It feels like one of those baked ones, but I might chuck it anyway

That would probably help dry it out again and restore the crunch, but I don't know if that will improve the overall experience
