c, so you would only have the extremely small interval of time represented by the difference betweencand the speed of light in whatever not-total-vacuum exists between the Sun and Earth. Not 8 minutes.But there'd still be a difference between when first light hits and when the solar winds strip the atmosphere from the planet. So as long as it was night time you'd have time to drop a couple of dank memes.
