@OldManBOMBIN@lemmy.world At the time I was converting the screws to have 1/4" square heads IIRC, so they would match and be used with a couple of other pieces I had made. Also they got a black finish.

Cool.

Yesterday I used a sawzall to cut an inch off a 2-inch bolt that I was holding with a pair of channel locks. So I'm something of a skilled metalworker myself.
