ICE and Customs agents, many dressed in military garb, assaulted the Park, which the documents describe as a hotbed of “historic lawlessness” and “the founding location of MS-13,” the Salvadoran gang.

Surely the hotbed of lawlessness means there should be no positive reviews of the park, no?

one year ago:

The playground is nice and very unique. The games they have are different than ur traditional just swings and junglegym. The bathrooms are not clean at all. If you can use it elsewhere, i would do so. I take my dog there at night times and let her off her leash and she has a blast running around.

Wow, sounds terrifying. What about a month ago?

MacArthur Park has come a long way from just a few years ago when there were tents as far as the eye can see and no police in sight, now it's opposite lots of police and noticeably less homeless, zero tents. Families can now walk the park in peace and enjoy the lake without having to see drug abuse and fighting. There still is some crime especially at night but just stay away from the park at night and you'll be fine. Lots of great deals to be had, definitely worth a stop if your visiting LA.

Sounds like basically any other urban park in the US. How frightening… mass calamity, dogs and cats sleeping together. The horror…

Also, if MS-13 started in this park how is it a Salvadoran gang? Make that make sense…
