The data is different for a 'photo' one took vs one of many other types of image. Your camera/phone can often include a lot of surprising data, possibly even your PII or location. An image you made in krita or with a screenshotting tool is somewhat less likely to have such data.

Check their history. They are stalking and harassing a couple of users they have a disagreement with.

Yeah go figure i don't like sexists saying mean things about my mother who they do not know.
A. Not a couple. One.
B.i asked them to leave me alone like fully a day and a half ago.
C. They said horrific stuff about my mother and refuse to apologize or leave me alone.
D. They keep saying horrific genderist stuff.
E. They're claiming they've doxxed me.
They could just leave me alone and I wouldn't have done this but apparently trying to dead name people and talk about about their parentage is like a super cool thing to do.
Dude, block them and move on. It's not healthy to obsess about stuff like that. It's just adding stress that you could easily avoid.
Can't block them, if they did indeed doxx me I need to know if they disclose anything.
Not really stressful for me, I don't mind being petty I mind people insulting my parents because they're mad at me and moreover people who doxx and try to put people online.
I read through that conversation. They didn’t doxx you. You appear to be having some sort of mental health crisis, maybe log off the internet for a bit and talk to someone you trust.
Uh huh, they say I lied about my personal details which they could only know by doxxing me.
Gross. Perhaps play doctor with someone else or maybe no one because it's a gross thing to do.
I really think you should reach out to a friend or family member.
I really think that's a bad take on someone being willfully and obviously petty. I'm not having a crisis in trying to get an apology and get rid of a pest.
It's gross to say anyone being rude has a mental issue dude, I'm just an asshole who someone poked too many times.
After a week of you obsessing over this I'm inclined to agree with the person you just responded to.

That said I'll say the same thing to you. That's gross, you're not a psychologist and of you were they'll tell you not to make those assessments of people you don't know and have never met.
Similarly you'll notice they haven't complained, they know why it's happening and how to stop it. They choose not to, let them have their choice.
Use the block button and move on. Otherwise you are breaking Lemmy's harassment rules.
Harassment is a pattern of practice of unwanted contact, they've consented on their own free will so it's not harassment.
And if we're going down that line it's also against the rules to attack the writer rather than the subject and it's sure as shit against the rules to talk smack on peoples upbringing, parentage, sex, gender and intelligence. But sure let's get huffy about me doing something they invited me to do and express no lack of enjoyment in.
Let them complain, they haven't so let them have their consequences if that's their true desire.
Then report their comment and move on. This form of "consequence" is but harassment that doesn't cast you in a good light either. We all have bad days, we all get agrivated by things sometimes. If you need someone to vent with you can message me directly if you like, but I would advise taking a step back after reporting the original comment because you may look back on this as them being mean, but regret your actions as well.
I have reported them.
No harassment is unwanted, they specifically consented to this and I don't care what randoms on the Internet think of me. No one should honestly.
I'm not having a bad day, nor a mental crisis nor do I need a shoulder to cry on.
I don't and won't regret getting an apology.

They've agreed, the sidebar times specifically allow this on Lemmy world. The sub may have different rules but I'm not engaging in the sun unless someone engages me.
Pretty sure posting the exact same unhinged comment 100 times is not going to get you anywhere that posting it...uh...once?...would have.
That said, maybe screaming into the void is your idea of a good time.
I don't disagree, it is however exceedingly annoying to have to deal with. They can apologize and leave me be, or I can be petty for as long as needed since trying to ignore them just led them to threats of doxxing and personal attacks on my mother.
It's not a good time but it quite cathartic.
