IMHO, Voyager has a pleasant viewing experience and a plethora of ways to customize your feed (and scrolling). The dev @aeharding@vger.social is quick to assist with questions and bugs.

Artic has more detailed information on the Sidebar and I appreciate that content is embedded (it’s just aesthetically pleasing to me, anyway). Hopefully, it hasn’t been abandoned.

Same here. I cleared the cache on Voyager, deleted, then reinstalled the app and it’s been fine. I still use Artic and like it a lot.

Today I downloaded Mlem and Blorp… So that’s what I’ll be playing with tonight. =]

How’d you go? I have voyager and the crashes/odd loading issues make me want to give something else a go.

Voyager still works for me but it’s a bit slow (which could be anything). I use Arctic when reading articles and posts but I’m not logged in.

Depending on your experience, you have several options. If you want to stay with Voyager, you can do some troubleshooting:
remove the app completely, restart your device, then download it again. Then, I had to do that Σ(-᷅_-᷄๑) again. I was not happy but it eventually worked out. The key ingredient was patience, lol.

However, before you do anything make sure you save your settings. For Voyager, it’s a .JSON file which you can save on your phone (don’t forget where you put it). I saved mine on Session or save it in the Files app on iOS. You will have to log in again so keep that password handy.

Another good thing about the Voyager app is it’s community. You can subscribe, peruse posts or post your issues at: !voyagerapp@lemmy.world

If someone has experienced the same problem, they will help you out. Someone reached out to me when I had problems with Voyager.

I don’t know if Arctic has been abandoned but it still works for me, again not logged in. Mlem for iOS was updated less than a month ago and somebody just praised Blorp and it’s dev team, so you can check those two out if you have time. I haven’t had a chance to play with Thunder yet.

Good luck! If you can, please let me know how it works out. I still come back to this post when I’m interested in an app and prefer opinions from real people.

EDIT: If you use PieFed, the Blorp app supports it.
