It’s hilarious that they think video selfies will work - Unreal Engine’s metahuman (and other equivalent technologies) are so realistic that there’s virtually no way to tell over a webcam.

Exactly, and with tools like Stable Diffusion and other AI image generators that can now create photorealistic faces on demand, these "security measures" are basically just data collection excercises in disguise.
