But in the context of the thread about American interment camps I think it's a bit disingenuous.

Fair enough, I'm just defensive about the vestigial parts of civil society that are still non-fascist. While I agree that the whole planet has deeply flawed things going on, I think this far right stuff that is currently happening is something new. And I disagree with the whole "both sides" kinda narrative.
