The “say-do” gap when it comes to buying American has been around since at least the 1970s.

I was there, when “Made in the USA” proved unseaworthy, and the manufacturing jobs sailed away. Stop trying to make fetch happen.

Made in the USA -- for when "Made in China" just isn't fascist enough.
