It's beyond flattering into, "okay, slow down" territory. One of the ugly sides being that she would do that with others, too, she acknowledged she didn't know what her own personality was anymore. She struggled with her sense of self-identity. It's hard to capture how it could feel really creepy and, ironically, isolating.
