The deepdives are pretty much only for the cores.
There are 3 ways to get cores with/for overclocks:
the normal deep dive is haz 3 / 3.5 / 3.5
elite deep dive is hazard 4.5 / 5 / 5.5
You can do deep dives solo or in a group. In contrast to regular mission, other dwarfs can't join during the dive. So you have to be in a lobby together before you enter the droppod.

A 3.5 haz sounds nice since sometimes I can clear a 3 no problem, but get my butt kicked on 4
