content warning: mentions of very sad things that happen in this country
I've been too tired to leave my bed today, so I've been reading and watching documentaries about teachers' experiences in all different kinds of schools, including selective schools, where it's super cut-throat, and remote schools. I need to stop reading stuff online, because it's making me even more uncertain than I already am. It also makes me a bit upset that there are people earning stacks of cash for doing fuck all, whilst people are saving lives and educating the future generations and are not being as fairly compensated.Going on real estate and looking at the properties in remote NT, I saw a house for sale with what looked to be bloody hand prints on the wall. It was horrifying and I went too far down the rabbithole. Cars and houses being broken into, people getting stabbed, abuse, FASD. But this is people's everyday reality in some places. It makes me so sad and I wish there was something I could do. The reality is, people feel that way and go to remote places, then experience trauma and leave.
I suggest reading positive stories
Time to do that :) thanks for the suggestion
Did you know that there are events being held around the world for T-Rex racing?
Wow, really? That's very cool
