I'm super confused by Suzerain. In the early game, I managed to stabilize Agnland and all "economies are stabilized" according to multiple city reports. Then I built rural hospitals, schools, raised funding for them and then am running a huge deficit that is being alleviated by United Contana money. All of this, with nationalization, is actually lowering unemployment significantly with an increased public workforce from these state megaprojects.
great depression like even with a stimulus? The whole point of the stimulus, with lowered unemployment as well as increased worker rights should at the very fucking least avoid a god damn depression. What the fuck happened? Did everyone just quit? "Aw shit, I got better working rights, my family got jobs and my city has funding again...better quit my job!" How the fuck does that make sense?
The game screeches about GDP at me too, which doesn't mean a fucking thing compared to actual production which has multiple novel industries with has been significantly invested into with state control which was the whole reason behind the lowered unemployment in the first place. I gotta make the magic number go up!
The game is very fun but am halfway through and incredibly frustrated at the games random railroad attempts. Apparently my popularity is low after all this and the national front and liberal parties just continue to screech with Arcasian puppeting them.
With how this game is treating it, I'm about to just say fuck it, declare a coup and shoot the whole supreme court in Sordland and hang Tarquin upside down in the capitol square. Why can't I just do that? I'm sure this will fix our GDP problem, Gus. Also, full nationalization of HOS.
I will say, forcing the pen into Mr.Koronith's hand and then demanding it back was pretty funny.
