So, I have a main account, where I'm the asshole editor with lots of opinions, and then two others for things a bit more spicy.

Both of those have been suspended for "suspicious activity" roughly 30 hours apart. For, you know, posting what I usually do.

The thing is, one of these -- I'm in the eight-year club there -- is associated with an email address that was terminated for lack of use, so I can't reset my password as prescribed.

The other was suspended yesterday every single time I posted anything, resulting in multiple password resets. I've not posted anything there today, but ... hey, look, it's suspended again.

Is Reddit just making a hard turn toward banning adult content? r/help seems to have a few other people in my boat wondering what the fuck is going on, but I can't find any sources suggesting a shift in policy. And I can't post in r/help on my main ... the submit button does nothing.

No you didn't. You probably didn't bother checking before running your mouth and now that you've been caught being an asshole you're doing the republican trademark "can't you take a joke?"

While I appreciate where you're coming from, especially as you're defending me, one of the guidelines here is to assume good faith. While I have no idea how they divined that from my comment, let's avoid direct personal attacks.

My guess: There's no way a self-described asshole with lots of opinions could resist lemmy. Source: Am an asshole with lots of opinions, this place is great and I hate it.

Maybe, you should reflect on your self before commenting and making assumption about others. I didn't write anything malicious or name call anyone.

I had to double check and see if you were the OP. Seeing the way you took it so personally and had to call me an asshole. It speaks more about you than me or anyone.

Let's tone it down. I've already addressed why that comment was wildly out of line, and we try to come to consensus here. I can see why you thought it was me, though. 🤣

It was surprising why a random person would attack on a mundane comment out of nowhere.

I checked the mod history and apparently, the purpose is to troll and that person has been banned and had their comments removed from many communities recently.
