I'm not even sure I've ever crossed paths with someone who genuinely thought vaping wasn't harmful except for the media and politicians. Most, I think are just betting that it's not as harmful as smoking.
It's because the information is often presented as "Vaping isn't harmful (when compared to smoking)" but the part in brackets is in tiny text.
Smoking is really bad for your health. Vaping isn't good for you but it's not as bad as smoking and it's a great tool to get you away from cigarettes and off nicotine entirely. Quitting nicotine is really fucking hard which is why people end up stuck on vapes for so long.
-15 years smoking then two years vaping before i quit.
Well done! I smoked for 16 years and vaped for 2 years. The last hurdle of going from barely any nicotine to zero nicotine was the hardest part.
Stop vaping. Cold turkey.
Vaping (nicotine products) is harmful to children. Even if you pretend like there are no other health effects, it is a chemically addictive substance and will have at minimum potentially significant financial harm to a child as they advance through life until they break the addiction (if ever).
Once someone's mature enough to be responsible for their own decisions, I don't really care what they do. Until then, I'm not really sure there's any reason to advocate for an unnecessary additional addiction beyond the already prevalent caffeine and sugar addictions developed during youth.
Did a new copy pasta just drop??
Damn, I kinda want to see the new copy pasta, but am too late.
Edit: Checked moderation history, 2/10, way less entertaining than I thought it would be. Not worth the effort.
Yea, comment was pretty unhinged, maybe with some revision it could have been a good one. Just trying to keep it light.
