This is freaking adorable! Love how two very different creatures can feel so comfortable with and love each other that way!

I am slowly trying to get my cat used to my mom's dog. She visits only every once in a while so she doesn't live here or anything.

First intro was showing my cat something with the dog's smell on it and putting cat treats on the dog thing. That went fine. Second intro was letting them briefly hear and smell each other through a closed door. Kitty was not happy and started hissing and swiping lol. Tried again through the door the next day and the cat was actually just mildly concerned but not doing any hissing or swiping! Progress! The dog doesn't give a shit lol I'm not even sure if she knows there is a cat there.

Tbh the dog is elderly and started developing severe health issues so idk if they will ever be able to meet. But maybe!
