Soulslike - Discussion, News, Memes
This is a community for discussion, news, and memes pertaining to the video game sub-genre "soulslike".
Given Lemmy's size, the definition of soulslike may be treated relatively loosely. While games like the numerous FromSoft titles, the recent Star Wars Jedi games, Lies of P, Nioh and similar games should be the focus, games that incorporate soulslike elements - like Hollow Knight and Blasphemous, for example - may also be discussed here.
Basic Lemmy-quette applies. Additionally, since flairs don't exist yet, please do make sure to include a marker to denote what game your post is about in square brackets for clarity's sake. An example could be:
[BB] This enemy is so difficult!
or
[DS1] Anyone struggling with the gargoyles?

I wish I was replaying Bloodborne, but no longer have a PS4. Gonna play Dark Souls 2 instead, though I'm lost af in Drangleic Castle.
Is your PC good enough for emulation? You could try playing Bloodborne on PC if it is. Peak Souls 2 is the next best thing tho 8-)
Is emulating PS4 on PC a very functional thing right now?
Bloodborne specifically has been driving PS4 emulator development and works very well now. Other games will be hit or miss.
ShadPS4 keeps their compatibility listings as GitHub issues if you're interested

I'm bad at compiling it to work on my Linux Mint. Tried once and got some arcane errors, then gave up.
Check out DODI repacks, I have downloaded several games from there that when installed through Lutris seem to just work with no issues or messing around. I saw they have Bloodborne on there, but I have it on PS4 still if I ever feel like playing it again.
I've gotten Expedition 33, FF7 remake, and most recently DS2 from there and they all run just fine on lutris.
Thanks for the info, I'll check it out.
