As a dude who'd hold hands with a dude, do they full on hate speech you, or do they cat call you? I'm curious if anyone feels comfortable answering.
Right now, I'm in a straight relationship, and I swear the difference in the way people treat me is night and day.
tbh, when I hold hands with my partner I think people still don't see us as lesbians - they will assume anything else instead, like mother / daughter or "friends", the heteronormativity results in my queerness not being seen or acknowledged. I've even kissed my partner, rubbed their back, and so on and still they won't assume I'm gay from that. Part of it is that we're both cis-passing and both femme - neither of us looks butch.
Awh, gross.
What country you're in also matters.
I'm in the US
Same, US
Oh, I just mean in general. People who may judge while seeing us, like my friend's dad.
